This content requires the Adobe Flash Player

This post shows a way to view web pages that contain shockwave flash content. Use with caution since flash content is considered unsafe.

During the installation of Oracle Database 12.2 or 12.1 I tried to access Oracle Database Express 12c and was greeted by the following page:

As we know Adobe has discontinued support for Adobe Flash Player in 2020. If you still want to view the content there is an alternative I found which worked quite well. It is called the maxthon browser. We need version mx5.3.8.2100-beta which can be downloaded from here (mx5.3.8.2100-beta.exe).

After the browser is installed and we access the Database Express 12c URL we get this and click Install and the Close to install the addon:

After we restart the browser we are able to see the flash content:
